Book Writing, Self-Publishing & Marketing Workshops

 Franklin the Helper® Children’s Books, LLC, in partnership with Students Combating Bullying Connection, Inc., offers practical workshops for anyone interested in writing, self-publishing, or marketing a book.

These workshops are designed for participants at different stages of the book journey. Whether you have an idea you have been thinking about for years, a manuscript you are ready to publish, or a book already available that needs stronger marketing, each session provides practical guidance you can use immediately.

The workshops are open to all genres, including children’s books, fiction, nonfiction, memoirs, poetry, devotionals, inspirational books, and more.

Participants learn from real-world experience gained through writing, publishing, and helping authors bring books to completion. Topics include developing a book idea, organizing a manuscript, understanding the self-publishing process, using Amazon KDP, preparing a book for publication, and identifying effective ways to market a finished book.

The Book Writing Workshop is designed to help you build a strong foundation for your book. You will not write your entire book during the workshop. Instead, you will receive actionable guidance to help you develop your idea, organize your content, create a basic outline, and establish clear next steps for continuing your manuscript after the workshop.

Participants will leave with a clearer direction for their book, a framework for organizing the manuscript, a basic outline or structure to build from, practical writing guidance, and a realistic plan for what to do next.

The Self-Publishing & Marketing Workshop is designed to help you understand what happens after the writing is complete. Participants will learn about the Amazon KDP publishing process, what is needed before uploading a book, how to prepare for publication, and concrete steps for marketing a finished book and reaching readers.

The goal of both workshops is simple: to make the writing, publishing, and marketing process easier to understand and give participants clear next steps they can confidently take on their own.

No prior writing or publishing experience is required.

 Learn how to prepare and publish your book through Amazon KDP and what to do after your book goes live. Topics include setting up your KDP account, uploading manuscript and cover files, entering book information, pricing, ordering author copies, and practical strategies for marketing your book and reaching readers. 

 Have a book idea but are not sure how to turn it into a manuscript? This workshop walks participants through the early stages of developing a book, including clarifying the idea, identifying the type of book you want to write, organizing your content, outlining chapters or sections, and developing a practical plan for completing your manuscript.
