Our Proud Sponsors

Become a Franklin the Helper® Pathway Sponsor

Why Sponsor This Initiative?

Franklin the Helper® Pathway Sponsors help bring the Student Author Pathway to schools, youth programs, churches, and community organizations by helping remove financial barriers for students and families.

Through your sponsorship, students gain access to a unique authorship and entrepreneurship experience where they develop story frameworks, explore creativity and publishing, and see that their ideas and voices have value.

At the conclusion of each workshop, every eligible completed story moves through the Pathway Fellowship selection process. Up to five students may receive invitations to continue their development through the Pathway Fellowship.

Franklin the Helper® Pathway Sponsors are not simply supporting a workshop. They are helping inspire future authors, creators, leaders, and young entrepreneurs

About the Student Author Pathway

Students have stories worth telling.

The Franklin the Helper® Student Author Pathway is a hands-on authorship experience for students in grades 5–12. Students begin by developing original story frameworks during the Writing Workshop, which serves as the entry point into the Pathway.

After each workshop, every eligible completed story moves through the Pathway Fellowship selection process. Up to five students may receive invitations to continue through the Pathway Fellowship.

Students invited into the Pathway Fellowship receive editorial development, Amazon publication support, and a Book Reveal Celebration!

Led by Published Authors and Youth Empowerment Leaders

The Franklin the Helper® Student Author Pathway is led by published author Franklin Edwards and his mother, educational advocate Demetré Bivins.

Franklin Edwards is the author of more than 20 books and the founder of Franklin the Helper® Children’s Books, LLC. As a published author, workshop facilitator, and creative visionary, Franklin helps students develop their ideas while encouraging them to recognize the value of their creativity, voice, and potential.

Demetré Bivins is a published author, educational advocate, and founder of Students Combating Bullying Connection, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on youth empowerment and social-emotional growth. As the program architect, publishing strategist, operations and partnership leader, and educational implementation specialist behind the Pathway, Demetré helps guide the structure, growth, and community impact of the experience.

Together, they help students see themselves as creators, future leaders, and young authors whose ideas can make an impact beyond the classroom.

What Students Experience

During the Writing Workshop, students participate in an engaging, hands-on experience designed to help them develop and organize their ideas into strong story frameworks.

Students will:

  • Develop original story concepts and creative ideas.
  • Learn how to structure and organize a story framework.
  • Participate in guided writing and authorship activities.
  • Strengthen creativity, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Explore how original ideas can develop into published books.
  • Gain exposure to the real-world publishing process.
  • Present and share their ideas in a supportive environment.
  • Have every eligible completed story considered through the Pathway Fellowship selection process.

Community Partnership & Sponsor Benefits

For many students, this workshop is their first opportunity to see their ideas treated as valuable beyond the classroom.

Students are not simply completing an assignment. They are developing stories that may become published books available on Amazon.

Through sponsorship, businesses and organizations help create opportunities that expose students to literacy, structure, confidence, creativity, and possibility while helping remove financial barriers for schools and families.
